they actually called twice on friday, once around noon to ask about proceeding with the references, and then again around 3pm to ask me if i had an alternative phone number for my last reference bc i apparently wrote 11 numbers (WHAT THE FUCK IS ME) so i gave them another phone number for that person as well as a phone number for another reference just in case and they said “we wouldn’t be calling that alternate person until monday if we do contact her, so if you want to give her a heads-up you can!!!” so idk if they actually called any of the numbers but they def looked them over GOD I DON’T KNOW WHY I’M THIS NERVOUS
I MEAN i think i aced the interview and they kept saying stuff like “we need people to start immediately” “we’re in need of quite a few people right now” etc so all signs point to me getting the job i’m just

i came back to tumblr for 2 minutes to tell you all that i had my interview for that relief residential counselor job and it went really really well and they called me back to ask if they can proceed with checking my references which is a really good sign (??? i think???) but that was on friday and now it’s tuesday and i still haven’t heard anything from them since then WHEN AM I GONNA HEAR IF I’M HIRED OR NOT I WANT THIS JOB A LOT SOMEONE HOLD ME AND TELL ME HOW THIS WORKS

So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists for being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.
Our celebrity obsessed culture may be a joke but breast cancer definitely isn’t - nearly 500,000 people die from it every year. Angelina Jolie’s doctors estimated she had an 87% risk of developing breast cancer and a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer because she carries the common gene mutation that causes both. Her mother died at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer as well. My own mother had both breast and ovarian cancer within a couple short years and let me tell you, it’s about the least funny thing in the world to watch someone suffer from.
Valuing someone’s body parts you sexualized over their life and humanity goes beyond sexism, it’s sub-human.
